How to mail a letter:

Step 1: Draft (Compose and/or Upload)

  1. Login using your email address and password.
  2. Click on the Compose tab.
  3. Choose your recipient using the drop down menu above the composition box.
  4. You may select optional mailing and delivery services. Click on the special service you wish to add to your letter. (See below for service descriptions)
  5. Compose your letter and/or upload your letter attachments. You do not need to add anything to the Compose box if you are uploading your letter.
  6. Click "Mail" at the bottom of the composition box and continue with the next step. Or, click "Save as Draft" at the bottom of the composition box. Your letter will be listed in your Mailbox under the "In Draft" tab. You can preview, edit, delete the letter and you can click "Mail" from the Mailbox page.
  7. Submission of letters through an API or email is available. Contact us to inquire about these alternative means.

Step 2: In Production

  1. Once you click "Mail" you will see the Order Preview page. You will still be able to preview and/or edit the order if you need to make adjustments. To process the letter order, choose a payment option and follow the instructions to complete the order.
  2. Your letter is now in production and will be mailed within 24 hrs, Monday through Friday.
  3. If you choose express mail, your letter will be mailed as soon as possible to expedite delivery.
  4. You can see your letter being processed in your Mailbox on the "In Production" and "All" tabs.

Step 3: Letter Mailed

  1. Once the letter is mailed, you will receive an email notification with the details of the mailing including the tracking number where applicable.
  2. You can see your letter as mailed in your Mailbox on the "Mailed" and "All" tabs.
  3. All letters have a mailing # for identification of the order.
  4. If you requested a service with a return receipt, you will receive the tracking number in your confirmation email and it's available on the Mailed tab on the Mailbox page. It links directly to the USPS for your convenience. Simply click on the link and provide the USPS your email address. They will send you a PDF of the recipient's signature.

Optional Mailing Services:

Ivory Fine Linen Paper & Envelopes

Choose our ivory-colored fine linen paper and envelopes for a high quality look & feel. Use this paper for a variety of printing needs: important business documents, letterheads, resumes, announcements, legal documents and more. Paper is 25% cotton, 8.5in. x 11in., watermarked, 24lb, and acid-free. Envelopes are #10 (legal size) and also 25% cotton giving your entire mailing that 'something extra'.

Self-Addressed Return Envelope

Include a self-addressed return envelope with your address so your recipients can easily respond to your letters. The address used is the one you provide on your Account page. All addresses within the US will include a first-class stamp so the recipient does not need to add postage. Non-US addresses will not include postage.

Optional Delivery Services:

Tracking

Add USPS tracking to any First-Class letter. You will receive the tracking number in your confirmation email, and delivery status is available from your Mailbox. Available for US addresses only.

Express Mail

Express Mail is the fastest service for time-sensitive letters and documents with guaranteed overnight delivery to most US locations. Express International is a reliable, expedited service to over 190 countries; now available with day-certain delivery to select destinations.

Certified Mail

Certified Mail is a type of special mail service that provides complete delivery and mailing information. A Return Receipt with the recipient's signature and date/time of delivery is included. Available for US addresses only.

  • Verification of the delivery attempts and date and time of delivery
  • Electronic Return Receipt included

Restricted Mail

When you have to make certain your letter gets into the hands of one person and one person alone. With USPS Restricted Delivery, your mail is released only to the addressee (or, in limited cases, a designated agent). Available for US addresses only.

  • USPS releases the letter only to the named recipient, who must show ID

USPS Receipts:

USPS receipts provide you with evidence of mailing and delivery. Available with Certified and Restricted Mail only.
  • Electronic Return Receipt emailed by the USPS. Receive a proof of delivery letter as a PDF attachment that includes an image of the recipient’s signature. This option is automatically included in Certified & Restricted mailings. It is only available for US States, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands addresses.
